Our two local villages of Belves and Monpazier offer a full range of Banks, shopping, garages and bars, restaurants, churches.
During the main tourist season much more is on offer and the weekly markets held by both increase in size and attract a large number of visitors and tourists from surrounding areas.
Additionally, both villages hold their annual Medieval days and several Antique and collectors fairs.
Sport is well catered for, both villages have permanent tennis courts, rugby and football stadiums, Belves having just opened a new 2 pitch football club, completely created in the forest a few minutes away from La Mothe.
Several private golf clubs - (golf de la Forge) & Golf Lolivarie - exist locally, 2 just north of Belves offering 9 and 18 hole clubs, complete with superb “clubhouse” and restaurant, both attract English players and competitions are held.
Several local horse riding stables offer full facilities, Annually Belves now hosts its now famous 100k run, attracting national entrées and is featured on French TV sports programmes.
Fishing is very well served locally, River Dordogne offers superb river fishing and several reservoirs are a short drive away (50 hectares approx) Belves has its own flying club and airport, and a very active club exists within Bergerac Airport.
