The Land
Apart from the rear garden, most of our land lies beyond the pool and up to the forest, including the pool area, this is just under a hectare and is maintained as a meadow, normally cut late spring for hay, the soil is sandy and very well drained.
Included in this area are two traditional stone barns, one is an old Chai (wine storage).
Part of the land was once a small vineyard, and this barn has the original oak vat possibly 2000 litre, here the wine matured before bottling. Both barns have original open fireplaces. These two barns are included in the sale.
Additional land with planning permission.
In December 2010 we had the rare opportunity to purchase additional land of 4.900 square metres, which runs in a southerly direction directly from and linking to the house.
The land serves as both an investment and an insurance against further building within the sight-line of our farm and gites.
The land in part is constructible and comes with existing planning permission for one house or building.

We currently keep ducks and chickens. The ducks are 'shown' at various events and daily fresh eggs are welcomed in the kitchen.
We also maintain a vegetable garden which supplies us with fresh vegetables throughout the summer and autumn.
